7:48and we have online with us, Theresa Moison and Martin Rourow

7:54from the Elliot joining us.

8:07it's Martin Rourow, Chief of Resident Care.

8:09Thank you.

8:11We just wanted to draw your attention

8:12to our update on the butterfly approach

8:17that we've been working through the Elliot for about 18 months.

8:21We did have our accreditation survey

8:23with many four-payer matters,

8:25about early during May, May 6th and 7th.

8:28And we are looking forward to being able to share more

8:33once we get the outcome of that.

8:35We're looking forward to a positive news story

8:39in the coming few weeks.

8:42Other than that, I don't think there's anything

8:44that we want to clarify.

8:52That was interesting when we did the tour

8:54to see that butterfly method in action, the approach.

9:22I just had a question with regard to the butterfly approach.

9:24We've heard so many great things about it

9:26and it's really exciting

9:28that things are continuing to progress.

9:31My question is with regard to the numbers in the report.

9:35So 33% of the staff have completed the training.

9:39Is the goal for all staff to complete the training

9:42or is there a specific number of staff

9:47for the accreditation?

9:48Thank you.

9:50Sure, happy to reply to that, Chair Downer.

9:53So the 33% represents the three home areas

9:57that we have trained.

9:59We are now planning to roll out the continuation

10:03of the expansion of the approach

10:04into our second floor at Long-Term Care,

10:06which will probably be above another 25 or 30% of our staff.

10:11The number is a whole number.

10:12So it's all of the staff who work at the Elliott,

10:14including those who work in the retirement side.

10:18We are contemplating our approach on that side of the house,

10:22but right now we're focused on Long-Term Care.

10:24So anticipate that as we move through

10:27that number will increase,

10:29but the 33% that we referenced here

10:32are all of the staff who work in the Long-Term Care areas

10:35where Butterfly has been fully knee-toed.

10:43And then just a question of clarity.

10:46So you will be trying to have everyone

10:50complete that accreditation.

11:04I just want to congratulate you on having no complaints

11:07and incidents.

11:08I remember in the last report,

11:10we had a couple that we had to go through.

11:11And so I am assuming that you all did some great work

11:15to resolve things.

11:16And I was wondering, could you explain a little bit

11:20about what your process is when you have issues

11:23like on the report about a resident having an issue

11:29with a resident?

11:33Sure, happy to again,

11:35I'm going to chair down.

11:36So it depends on the nature, of course,

11:41and it depends on the people involved.

11:48Usually what is required is we have a behavioral support

11:51structure that supports residents or those who live here

11:56and their families in knowing how to manage

11:59difficult emotions.

12:00And so we do have a team that enables that for us.

12:03And usually there's a resident to resident issue.

12:08We utilize the interventions of that team

12:12to kind of support folks,

12:14people who live here to resolution

12:15and I'll go in through any future pressures

12:20that may or conflicts that may arise.

12:23And those things are considered events

12:27that will be deemed a critical incident.

12:29So they're usually reported in the mastering

12:32and almost all things.
