Support the campaign.

Ward campaigns are won on small donations and Saturday-afternoon door-knocking, not big cheques. Whatever you can chip in funds the materials and outreach that get the message in front of voters.

Amount

Ontario's Municipal Elections Act caps individual donations to a single candidate at $1,200, and aggregate donations across all Guelph candidates at $5,000.

We need this for legal compliance. Donations over $100 must be disclosed in the campaign's financial filings (name, address, amount).

Legal confirmations
Secure paymentWhen you continue, you'll be taken to our payment partner Stripe to enter your card. Payments are encrypted, and the campaign never sees your card number. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

How donations work under Ontario law

  • Individuals only. Only individuals residing in Ontario may donate. Corporations and unions are not permitted to donate.
  • $1,200 maximum per candidate. This is the legal limit set by the Municipal Elections Act.
  • $5,000 aggregate across Guelph candidates. No individual can donate more than $5,000 in total across all Guelph municipal candidates in 2026.
  • Disclosure of donations over $100. The campaign is legally required to disclose the name, address, and amount of every contribution above $100 in its financial filings.
  • No tax receipts. Municipal campaign contributions in Ontario are not tax-deductible.
  • Refunds. If you donate and later determine you have exceeded the aggregate cap or are otherwise ineligible, contact us immediately and we'll arrange a refund.
