Get involved

Let's win Ward 5.

Local elections are won door by door: on porches, in driveways, chatting after kids' soccer. The path to a Ward 5 win is just a few hundred conversations more than the other side. That math is winnable, and it's also the most fun part of running a campaign. We'd love to have you in it with us.

Ways in

Here's what we get up to.

Knock doors with us

We work in pairs, with a map and a script. Two hours on a Saturday morning gets us through a couple hundred porches. You'll have more fun than you expect.

Host a meet-and-greet

Invite ten or twelve neighbours over for coffee. We bring the conversation and the chocolate-chip cookies. You bring the living room.

Put up a lawn sign

Closer to the election, we come install one for you. Big navy and cream, hard to miss. It lets your neighbours know where you stand on this race.

Share something online

If a Saturday afternoon isn't your thing, a five-minute share goes a surprisingly long way. We'll send you the link, or a stack of palm cards for your block.

Your info

How would you like to help?

A few things to know

  • No experience required. If you've never volunteered on a campaign before, that's fine. We train, you learn fast, and nobody throws you in the deep end alone.
  • You set the pace. An hour a month makes a difference. So does one Saturday a week. We'll figure out what works for your schedule.
  • No party required. Municipal elections in Ontario are non-partisan. People from across the political spectrum work on the same campaigns. What matters is the candidate, not the colour of their lawn sign.
  • Materials are free. Lawn signs, buttons, window signs, palm cards: all on the campaign, no charge to you. Just ask.
  • Lawn signs go up closer to the election. If you ask for one now, we'll save your spot and reach out to install it when the time comes.
