2:17:02I just wanted to make a comment on it to thank our back office support staff.

2:17:06I think that it's a job that often gets overlooked.

2:17:10And they are the heart of our city and they do a really good job.

2:17:15So I just wanted to appreciate all the work they did going into this report

2:17:19and just what they do generally.

2:17:33So I just want to say one very quick comment,

2:17:35but you know what I say quick,

2:17:36it really means about 45 seconds.

2:17:38But before I call the vote,

2:17:40I just want to really draw attention to the fact that council did this.

2:17:45I often hear too many times that council or the immediate,

2:17:51is not interested in looking for efficiencies.

2:17:54They're not willing to do reviews.

2:17:57That everything is just always status quo and they're not willing to,

2:18:00you know, do the work necessary to see how things are working.

2:18:04This report shows you that we did do it.

2:18:09Okay.

2:18:10And so not only did we do a service rationalization review,

2:18:13a few years ago,

2:18:14but we did do a review of the report.

2:18:16And so we did a review of the report.

2:18:18And so not only did we do a service rationalization review a few years ago,

2:18:23came out with several different recommendations.

2:18:26One of the recommendations was exactly this.

2:18:30Council voted to do this work.

2:18:33The work was done by a third party.

2:18:37And it came back and here it is.

2:18:39Transparenly we're telling everyone that we did this work.

2:18:42And so, yeah, it's, it's, you know,

2:18:46I'm seeing a lot of comments from community staff about this work.

2:18:50They're saying, you know,

2:18:52only $35,000 to a hundred and so thousand dollars and potential savings

2:18:55under a few different categories on some of the back office stuff.

2:19:01But the point is, is that we did it.

2:19:03It's not so much about the monetary efficiencies and savings.

2:19:07Of course it is.

2:19:08If that's an outcome that comes from it,

2:19:10but we did the work.

2:19:11And so I just really want to thank council.

2:19:13For doing this work.

2:19:14say okay yeah the city's looking into this kind of stuff because council is

2:19:18united on doing this this is what we do okay so I just want to really to say

2:19:23that before I call the vote because sometimes these things get overlooked

2:19:26that they're not stated in the public realm enough that we're doing these this

2:19:29type of work well we are here it is okay with that it's been moved and seconded
