3:31Okay, good morning everyone.

3:33It's Monday, June 24th, 2024 at 9 a.m.

3:37and we are meeting as the Chief Administrative Officer

3:40Recruitment Selection and Performance Subcommittee.

3:44And we are looking off the top here to, well,

3:50stand and recognize our national anthem.

5:44Thank you.

5:45And now a moment of silent reflection.

5:57Thank you.

5:58And now our territorial acknowledgement.

5:59As we gather, let us take time to reflect on our privilege

6:02to live and work in Guelph,

6:04a city built over rich indigenous histories.

6:07We're guests here and we should reflect upon the responsibility

6:10to care for this land,

6:12the people who live here today and the generations to come.

6:16If our actions today can move us towards reconciliation,

6:19we should take pause and make those decisions

6:21with intention and gratitude.

6:23This place we call Guelph is served as the traditional lands

6:26and a place of refuge for many peoples over time,

6:29but more specifically, the Aniwannarok and the Hohnashoni.

6:34This land is held as the treaty lands and territory

6:37with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

6:40And Guelph lies directly adjacent to the Hohleman Tract,

6:43which is part of a long-established traditional hunting grounds

6:46for the six nations of the Grand River.

6:49Many First Nations, Inuit and Métis people

6:51who have come from across Turtle Island

6:53call Guelph home today.

6:56And with that, is there any disclosure of pecuniary interest

6:59or any general nature thereof for the item in front of us?

7:04Hearing and seeing none,

7:06we are looking to move into a closed session of council,

7:11sorry, committee, and that is under section 239, 2B,

7:17and L, or is that an I?

7:22I think that's an L.

7:24All right, I will say I then.

7:27Of the Municipal Act, personal matters

7:29about an identifiable individual,

7:31including municipal or local board employees,

7:34a trade secret, or scientific, technical, commercial,

7:43or the local board as titled on the agenda.

7:54With that, Chair Allt is willing to move us

7:56to go into closed and Chair Downer

7:59is willing to second that for us.

8:02And I'm gonna call the vote.

8:03Is anyone against moving into closed?

8:06That would be nobody, that is unanimous.

8:09We will see everybody in closed for that meeting

8:12and for those online and watching later.

2:21:08we did give direction through to both our recruiter

2:21:12and our acting manager of HR at this time

2:21:15in regards to furthering the CAO recruitment.

2:21:19With that, that's update.

2:21:21And we have the minutes as well

2:21:24that we need to vote on in the open session.

2:21:28And is that gonna come up on the screen as well?

2:21:32And that's for the subcommittee meeting minutes held

2:21:35on May 30th, 2024 to be confirmed as recorded

2:21:39and without being read,

2:21:40who's throwing their hand up for me on that.

2:21:43Chair O'Rourke is and Chair Downer is seconding.
