0:02If you may, I'm Wayne Deller here in the division manager for water services with the city. So water related questions and happy to help you.

0:11Brian, when manager of energy and climate change related to, I guess, climate change mitigation, climate change overall, I guess, very complex topic and energy conservation.

0:26Thank you very much. So I would like to introduce myself. I'm Winnie Chan, the board and committee coordinator, and I am responsible for all the administrative procedures and also, also, Secretariat service of advisory committees.

0:40And then you will be receiving, we will be receiving a lot of things from me. I'm sorry about that.

0:46We're too many. I'm sorry. And all the stuff will be sent through advisory committees at growth.ca. So you will be receiving a lot of information, a lot of link, a lot of, I really don't know, is a lot.

0:59Okay. So upcoming that we will have a lot of communication and also interaction, why are you like email or other kind of platform, I would say.

1:08So our committees is planning, environment and water committees. So I would like to share with you guys, this is some long, this is a gender of advisory committee.

1:21So we will have our chair to court order, but now we do not have chair because we will vote on that, you know, at the end of this meeting.

1:29So we will need to court order and we will have land acknowledgement that we also need to disclose our conflict of interest if there's any.

1:39So I will introduce a lot of things here. So maybe a lot of information, boom, back you guys. I'm so sorry. But if you have any questions, because this is kind of like legislative, legislative advisory committees, we need to have a lot of procedures, a lot of things we need to follow.

1:55So this is quite, is a lot of things actually. So, but you know, step by step, I will introduce a lot of things to you, but just let me know if you have any questions, in front me, with your hand, no worries.

2:07Okay. So, and then we will go for members and staff introduction, we'll just let you guys to introduce yourself to our folks together, giving some kind of like inside work, what are you working for or what your expertise, etc.

2:24So and then I will give a presentation on some kind of sober training, and this is about the roles, responsibilities and also some procedural training. So there will be a lot of information.

2:35And I will control myself not speaking too much. Okay. But you know, but those kind of information will be like very essential and very crucial for the upcoming committees meeting.

2:47So at the end of this meeting, we will have the election of the chair and also the vice chair. So you can lobby yourself, you can, you can lobby someone here, so that we would choose, we will select our chair and also watch today.

3:02So this is the procedures of our meeting. So Andy.

3:06Questions.

3:09Yes.

3:10And we add to the agenda.

3:12Yeah.

3:13Meeting date.

3:14Yes. Actually, we, we have the next meeting. Do you want me to add to that gender to all the meeting days?

3:21No, no, just the changing the meeting date from Wednesday to some other day.

3:27Okay. So, um, okay, maybe we need to vote on that because you, if you want to propose that we can vote on that if we want to change today, if all of us, like 50% plus one members agree with that, we can change today.

3:41I will add to the agenda. Yeah, but for, yeah, for, but for today, I, I, I will just prioritize our, I don't first finishing the orientation and education workshop and then the election and then I will just add your item to the end of the agenda.

3:58Yeah.

3:59Okay, so, um, I would like to, um, right, I would like to, um,

4:08introduce some kind of very important website, you know, the sites that you will find information of our advisory committee. So this is exactly the link that you apply for your membership, right?

4:26So when you scroll down, actually, that there's will be a lot of boards here. And if you click planning environment and water advisory committees, and then we will have the whole terms of reference here.

4:41Okay, so you can also like this link is exactly the PDF version. You can download it. You can read it in details by yourself or the mandate purpose.

4:54Um, why this is very important and also like the membership, the composition and also with the meeting schedule format, uh, stop liaison, who are they, what they are doing, uh, and growth and responsibility of the members, uh, chairs, vice chairs, stop liaison, and collect office.

5:16So this is a very detailed documents and this is exactly the backbone of this advisory committee. You'll have time. Uh, just free free to read this. And the second important site I would like to highlight is here, cancer and comedies calendar.

5:33You can find all of the cancel meetings and also all the companies meeting scheme. So for example, like today we have planning environment water committees, we click here, we can have gender HTML version or the PDF version exactly the same that I sent to you guys.

5:50So if you, for example, like using emails or can't find the emails, you can just go to this website. You're in search of city of growth, council and comedy calendar that you can reach this very important information.

6:02So, um, and this one is, um, is a hit the neck. Okay. You cannot find it over Google. No. So this is very important because if you find that you will have some kind of conflict of interest for any particular items on the agenda, um, you need to fill out this, um, written statement.

6:21For example, like if you click this, you can see you need, you, you're very on the name or exactly meeting to date and why you think there's some kind of conflict. So if you really don't know the answer, if you have any conflict of interest, you can email me.

6:36Um, very long ago, actually that a lot of companies and community members recall to me like, Oh, I really don't know if I have some conflict of interest. You just come to me and I will let you know.

6:46Or I am at first, it, it, it will be better if you fill in this context. And if you in the meeting, you will need to be excused from the meeting. So after this item, you just come back. Yeah, I will invite you to come back and see you at the meeting. So, yeah, so at any questions regarding what?

7:06Because it's already a lot of innovation. Yeah, on the conflict of interest piece. Yeah. Um, I guess we would have enough information in advance of the meeting based on the agenda to identify anything. Exactly. You will know what, what the stock will be reporting going to present or even the recommendations. Okay.

7:23So actually that you will know all the, all the stuff and you found that it may be, I have some conflict of interest and you don't really quite sure you can just.

7:33Yeah. Okay. So.

7:37Any other questions.

7:39Already a lot of you more. Sorry guys.

7:43Okay, so.

7:45Now I will just go for introduction. So, um, I would like to invite.

7:53Sorry. Okay, I would like to invite members to introduce yourself a little bit to our fellow committee members. So why don't we just go for.

8:04Yeah.

8:06Lots of folks here so I'm trying to keep this fairly for you.

8:11Um, came to both for my undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph.

8:16I moved away briefly and then came back to Guelph so I more or less lived here for about 30 years.

8:23And I've had started my career in sustainability consulting worked at a couple of different firms for about 10 years.

8:32And then for the last 15 years I've worked at the cooperators for the sustainability department. So a lot of my work has been focused on different aspects of sustainability.

8:47But.

8:50At cooperators have been more focused on reporting and climate change management. So looking at the emissions of the organization.

9:01And doing our best to reduce that. So.

9:05Yeah, and I live in the West end of town and got two kids.

9:11Thank you very much.

9:13And when does your name, Shannon? Yes.

9:18My name is Mike Puddister. I guess I've lived in Guelph for 40 years or so.

9:24I've got degrees from water living wealth.

9:28Work for M and R for a little while and then been really the rest of my career was been working with conservation authorities.

9:35Some of the maintenance for a little bit, but worked really at the credit value conservation authority for about 36 years.

9:42Started as a planner. I was there for about 15 years as a planner and then moved on to other things.

9:50I called myself a recovering planner actually.

9:54Anyway, I moved into.

9:58The energy of the business, I guess, and the policy and program areas involved in stewardship, restoration, natural capital, ecosystem services and eco health.

10:10Media, region education.

10:13And then eventually got into administration and was a deputy CEO when I finally retired after about 36 years.

10:25I lived in Nova Scotia, in the front of the area, British Columbia, Alberta.

10:31I was initially in the member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

10:34I served first as a combat engineer, then I was into construction and operation maintenance and buildings.

10:40And then became a civil servant.

10:42First for the conservation and renewable energy branch and energy mines resources.

10:47And I was head of energy management for national defense.

10:50And I finished in defense as their director of environmental stewardship.

10:55I was responsible for their first state ability strategy, which was judge invest in government.

11:01And then open up my own consulting practice, principally in energy and environmental management.

11:07The main focus of my consulting career was on the retrofit of buildings.

11:14Hi everyone, my name is Gavin.

11:16I am I've lived in Guelph for the last 15 years.

11:19My wife and I are both graduates of the University of Guelph.

11:22Decided to stay here because we liked it so much.

11:25For the last 10 years, I've been an environmental consultant.

11:29So I work for the consulting, which is a large multi disciplinary engineering firm.

11:32We offer all kinds of different branches.

11:35So primarily my role there is a senior biologist.

11:38So I run a team of ecologists, biologists and environmental scientists.

11:42Most of our work is focused on environmental assessment impact assessment.

11:47With a specialization in species at risk and new species act permitting.

11:52I'm also an ISA registered arborist.

11:55So I have a hand in a lot of urban forestry planning, municipal forestry planning.

12:01And restoration planting for developments, specifically in regulated areas.

12:06Or mentally sensitive habitats, things like that.

12:09Yeah, I was excited to see the opening for the committee because looking for an opportunity to kind of get more involved in the city in which I live and have a little bit of a say in how that progresses.

12:19And so yeah, maybe you're.

12:23Okay, my name is Justin move.

12:26Yes, I'm similar to Shannon and Gavin.

12:30I came here for my undergrad.

12:32I studied landscape architecture at the university and I've been in wealth on and off pretty much ever since.

12:40I actually now work for a senior living company on their design team.

12:45More on the interior and kind of things, but sometimes in landscape projects as well.

12:53And I also am a registered real estate agent.

12:57So got a couple of things going on. I was previously on the planning advisory committee.

13:02I think I'm the only one here from that one.

13:06So yeah, some of my passions are really towards housing and affordability and housing.

13:14As well as sustainability.

13:19Kind of how you can integrate that into the whole landscape of living and working and playing and in the city.

13:30I'm Laura, I to follow the trend. I'm also a graduate in biological engineering.

13:37And so that took me down the path of water and wastewater treatment and collection system design.

13:43These days, I spent most of my time doing infrastructure planning work for cities working on master plans for water and wastewater servicing.

13:51So trying to incorporate through some of my learning as well.

13:55Climate adaptation into some of this planning work that we do.

13:59I'm currently pursuing a it's called infrastructure resilience professional designation.

14:03So trying to help engineers look at designing and planning for infrastructure with climate change in mind.

14:10So really a key interest of mine.

14:12So interesting to see a combination of my interests all involved in this, this committee, the water side, the planning side and climate change.

14:21So very excited to be here.

14:22And I've been living in downtown Guelph for more than half my life.

14:27Hello, my name is Bo.

14:32I've been living in Guelph for almost 15 years.

14:36Initially when I graduated, I worked very briefly in engineering consulting and water treatment.

14:43And then I stumbled by accident into public health and I worked in public health for over a decade.

14:50I worked there at I worked at the local health unit actually, I'm no longer there.

14:55But when I was working at the local health unit, I worked there as an environmental health specialist, which meant I had a whole slew of different portfolios.

15:04But the one that interested me the most, well, to that interest me the most sort of tied into community planning.

15:11And the other one was climate change adaptation work.

15:14And because those were my areas of greatest interest, I decided to transition into a new role at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, which is an organization that does some policy funding resource support work for municipalities in the sustainability world,

15:33which I did indicate to my application and any opinions I express are my own will in the future.

15:39But also really excited to be here in my role in public health. I was able to get a glimpse into some of the work this city was doing and I really enjoyed that a lot.

15:48And I'm now super excited to be able to do that as a resident.

15:52I agree that the city that you live in plays such a huge role in your daily, you see work play and hang out.

16:01So it's a really great honor to be on the committee. Thank you.

16:06My name is Claire Norho.

16:10My name is Brooks, but I have both my last names on my name tag.

16:17I have grown up grew up as well.

16:22I have been here most of my life with the notion of having gone away for school and my very first job.

16:31The second job I came back started working at RWDI, which is an engineering consulting firm where we are very multidisciplinary.

16:41I started off as an air quality engineer looking in the emissions of manufacturing mostly helping with regulatory permitting required by the mission of the environment.

17:00That evolved into larger transportation jobs and I migrated to the environmental noise group.

17:10Then I kind of took a leap into project management. I'm now senior project management there and it's because our company has a lot of various services.

17:23I'm now finding myself doing a lot more planning and supporting of planning applications with buildings.

17:32I'm doing a lot of wind pedestrian wind studies, energy modeling studies, of course air quality noise, but they all kind of fit into the big larger building application.

17:47Yeah, really excited to participate in the community as well and see what the city of Guelph has to work on.

17:59Hi everyone, Raju Singh and I really feel like I'm the new kid on the block because I probably have been living the shortest duration in Guelph just about six years now.

18:13But what a wonderful city to be in. So I can really, I'm envious of everyone who's practically spent their life here. But it's a wonderful city to live in having spent a lot of my life outside of Canada in just the last 10 years.

18:28And then I've been here. I'm really glad that we somehow landed in the city of Guelph and then chose to call it home to graduate, almost graduate boys who exactly love the city and so we're a family of four.

18:44I'm a professor of sustainable business management at Conestoga College. And so I've been teaching at Conestoga for practically about seven, eight years and have been contributing to advancing sustainability in the curriculum.

18:59You may be able to appreciate how much a need there is in the world of business to understand sustainability and how much there is a need to train future generations about sustainability.

19:11So that's what I do.

19:13Apart from teaching, I consult organizations. I did have a small role of consulting for developing curriculum to help innovation Guelph with the circular economy initiatives that was part of the smart cities.

19:29So that's one initiative that I've been part of in a small way. But I was always looking for how can I contribute to the city of Guelph.

19:37And I've been looking for specific areas of expertise that I bring our deep knowledge about sustainable development. How can businesses and communities transition to a net zero future.

19:50And how exactly do we move beyond sustainability, which seems to be the buzzword that everyone understands to some extent, but how do we move beyond sustainability towards regenerative which is the future of where we need to be.

20:05And I think there's such a wide gap between where we are today, what the sustainable development goals needed to accomplish by 2030 and how much of work that needs to be done.

20:17So that's what I work on, but everything from climate change mitigation because my educational background is a PhD in environmental toxicology that I blended with management education many years ago so about 25 years of experience.

20:34Initially in research then in the world of education. So a lot of how do we engage communities in, in spreading the word spreading awareness around these things is what I do on a regular basis.

20:47I was also instrumental in moving on a store towards a firm commitment or what the institution does in terms of its own sustainability.

20:56And so we became part of a global framework or prime which is principles for responsible management education. And so a lot of changes happened at Constable during the last, I'll say five years, but I've been fortunate to be part of so if you'd like to learn about what's going on there I know there's a lot of bad communication and a lot of bad focus on it but there's a lot of good work that's going on around sustainability so really glad to be here.

21:21And I look forward to interacting with this entire country.

21:26It's really neat how people end up sitting inside each other similar interest.

21:31I'm Karen Robert, and I'm interested in being on this committee, because I've been living in Guam for about nine years and commuting to credit value conservation for the last nine years.

21:43I'm doing some really good work over there, but I wanted to have a chance to understand municipal programming and projects a little bit more closer to home.

21:57Right now I'm working on my MBA and sustainable commerce at the University of Guelph.

22:02I should be finished that in a couple of weeks.

22:04So I'm really really too, but I'm teaching too.

22:07I'm CBC, I've spent most of my career doing outreach and community education in environmental issues like sustainability and restoration.

22:18I have an undergrad degree in geography, so kind of linked to planning, teachers degree and masters of environmental studies.

22:27Thank you very much. So we may invite Elika, can you hear us? Will you like to introduce yourself a little bit?

22:38Yeah, sorry, can you hear me?

22:40Yes, perfect. Thank you.

22:42Okay, sorry if there's a little bit of background noise, I'm traveling at the moment, which is why I'm not there.

22:48So yeah, my name is Anissa Scott.

22:50I have a master's degree in environmental science.

22:55And after that I got into environmental consulting and I've been an environmental planner, focusing on environmental assessments for linear infrastructure and various development projects.

23:10Recently, I've started to get into some mining and some various power projects.

23:18Yeah, and you all have some great credentials.

23:22I'm interested to work with all of you.

23:27Thank you. Thank you very much.

23:31I was about to say there's like a crazy brain trust in this ring.

23:35Like, oh, it's folks. Jesus. It is called folks.

23:41Okay, so now I would like to move on to the second item, which will be the most boring one that I will introduce all the procedural things, all the administrative stuff.

23:57What exactly is an ACOC administrative, sorry, adversary calling is canceled and what exactly is a meeting very boring.

24:06I want you that, you know, I just want to say this is essential. I'm sorry.

24:11But yeah, let me just share my PowerPoint.

24:20So, so, uh, Garrett and I actually Garrett is not here because he is not participating in a conference.

24:33So I'm taking care of this presentation and we I would like to introduce a road responsibilities and some kind of procedural training for for us today.

24:43So yes, the gender would be 10 items. Sorry, but I will be a problem is very quick.

24:49Okay, so if you have any questions, just talk me nor is about that.

24:53Interrogate me raise your hand. Let me know what exactly you want me to explain more.

24:58So, um, you know, um, I would like to introduce myself a little bit in deaf more.

25:05Okay, actually, I was a scholar of universal proof and I collaborate with the city together two years ago to develop a kind of like flame work governance playing work for advisory companies.

25:18So I was the one drafted governance playing work because actually that we got a lot of problem before about the adversary community.

25:27So this is a kind of project where you make one and this is the only one happening.

25:31That to we decided to see a grocery communities of council.

25:36So, um, you know, a first company of council is not very, very, very popular research project.

25:43Okay, it's not no one no one's taken to this.

25:45Okay, so I would like to say my my ex colleagues and me would be the only team that to work on adversary companies for of council in Canada.

25:55So, um, this flame work is wanted to just guide the creation, how to do something, how to function, how to develop a COC in growth.

26:04And you know, and this project was already attracted a lot from other municipalities to ourselves.

26:10How to do that?

26:11Or how, how could we, how could we develop these kinds of things that to to make it happen in our municipality?

26:17So, um, we collaborate together, the academic and also the long academic partners, the city of growth together, wanted to respond to some kind of community identity problems, especially that to be honest and very flank is like a lot of

26:33Um, community members, the previous committee members, they complained about they really don't know why you asked me to participate here. And I really don't know. I give, I give my feedback and also comments.

26:46I really don't know where it's going.

26:48No risk.

26:49So, uh, the point is like we wanted to make sure that the advice of communities are correct and all community engagement process to engage with members, just like you guys.

27:03So we develop a lot of research to like survey, like an interview, like the community groups. And also we work with eight existing ACOs members together to form a working group to drop the flame work together.

27:16Mike was one of us. Okay. So, um, so we thank so much. Um, our working group members because they really spend a lot of time and also energy on this kind of thing.

27:29So, um, we have seven commitment for this plane work. Okay.

27:34This is the form of community engagement, just like the same time hall meeting, same, just like to survey anything that the city want to engage you guys. This is one of the form of that.

27:45But, you know, ACOC is something very, very, you know, time consuming, energy consuming human resources consuming. We need a lot of resources. So, but you know, ACOC is something that we wanted to help shape the city's threat goals.

27:58This is very important because this is not just, um, you know, actually before we do not know what exactly the collection between like the city's threat goals and also it comes.

28:09We do not know about this. But, you know, from, if you read the TOR, the terms of reference, you can see there is a kind of section we call, uh, threat goals, alignment, something like that.

28:20And this is very important because we want ACOC is the kind of platform to fit into or to inform, um, the decision making of the city, actually.

28:31So, this is what we want to, we want to redesign the ACOC. So, we also wanted to adopt deliberative practices here.

28:39Deliberative practices is something like, um, it's, it really doesn't matter if we have different color of opinion, different comments, but finally we agree and also get to consensus on that.

28:51Okay. Within the committee. So, we want to do this. Okay. But, of course, this is very, it's not easy. Okay. It's not easy. This is why I need to be here because I'm the one, you know, drop the governance framework.

29:03And I hope that we can improve and discount deliberative practices within any ACOC. So, and also like we need diverse membership. We not just need professional expertise. We not just need leader expertise, but we need both together because this is very important, especially if someone that, you know, will never appear in any decision making process or like policy making process.

29:30We need that actually. So, we hope that to, you know, broaden our membership. I will talk about this later, especially because we will propose already kind of recruitment strategies. Now, we just adopt a targeted recruitment strategy just like invert your guys to apply.

29:46Right. So, this is targeted recruitment, but in the future, if the console fund us about something that we propose is random representative sampling. That means that we just send out 1000 or 10,000 invitation to every single residence or particular area and invert them to be part of us if they're interested.

30:08So, this is something that we want to see. Okay, in the future. But at this moment, we are not funded. Okay, so let's see. Okay, so we hope we can have clear communication. That means that in the past, actually, then you know, the ACOC always complain about I read on, you get my opinion, you get my feedback and where is it? Is it going to the council? Is it going to the council members? Or what?

30:32And they also come in something like, feeling like to stop filter some of the comments, you know, something we we wanted to make sure that is will not happen. Try best to do this. Okay, so the last one is adequately resources.

30:50That means that we need resources because, for example, like we, we have a couple of meetings. Actually, we need human resources to arrange to make sure the process to procedures and also order setting all lead a lot of resources. So, you know, the council already approved the sum of the funding to support these kind of committees that we reduce from 14 committees to seven committees, but we ensure that committees will be funded where we adequately resources.

31:18So this is the commitment and critical features of effective communication and the stuff is on in the past actually that they need to take care of order stuff.

31:30Just like, or or or the road actually, or the road like administrative procedures or stuff but actually stuff is on. We have four stuff that is on for this committee, because we have four main topics of this committee so they will be the one taking care of the very straight level, we're straight level things.

31:52They know what's happening in their department. They know what exactly will be the three good topic to consult you guys to get your opinion and get your feedback, which I don't know. I read all because I'm not working with Brian or not working with him, not Lucas.

32:07I read all what Lucas is doing. No, but I know what exactly that we could do in the committee. So we also have a very, very clear terms of reference compared to the past, because the time of terms of reference are very important.

32:21Is it kind of like backbone to fling work of the whole committees. We have a very clear one very detailed one and we will do to reveal it together later.

32:32Okay, so we will have to new recruitment effort currently law funded. We're looking forward to that and also some compensation and coverage coverage of the participation related expenses like we we asked for that we will ask for that and currently law funded is like,

32:50because we wanted to have more people from marginalized groups to be part of us. So this is something in the future. We hope that we get the funding and we will do it. So yeah.

33:05Okay, I would like to stop here. Any questions. You just like the rationale of advisory committees. I just finished any questions.

33:19Okay.

33:21The most boring part happened.

33:23Okay.

33:25That's just an appointment. So, um,

33:27Sorry, you mentioned that like there used to be more advisory committees and it's been sort of condensed. So is that like combining some of the prior committees so there's like a broader.

33:39Exactly. You know, this company is converted by baby. I need to remember. Okay, planning water waste.

33:49And yeah,

33:50Natural heritage narrative. Yeah, sorry about that. That's where you did. We come back together to work and demand it. Hope that we can have more diverse opinion and also get more kind of like, because in the past, very honestly, it's like, we, we have difficulty to get column to get column enough members to participate in the meeting.

34:12So if the, you know, the interest or the topics we've brought in is like, oh, you know, actually that we have more, more things to discuss. So this is one of the very, very crucial steps of changing. I'm sorry.

34:25Using the electoral heritage.

34:28Okay. Thank you very much. So, okay, I move on. Okay. So let's just like the requirement. Okay, we need to open all meetings to the public. That means that now the public can join us.

34:40You know, because the link is just public, they can just join us over teams. They just, he can just come to here to F10. Okay. Or they can also delegate. Okay. They were just sending me email, we need I would like to speak for these items five minutes.

34:56Okay. They are welcome to do that. They would just be here. You will be noticed that there will be some delegates, for example, like, for example, like heritage adversary comment is actually that we have a lot of delegates because they are the whole owner.

35:09Okay. So they would like to speak for the heritage about that. So delegate is not where we often for ACOC, but some of the companies like heritage or like some of them like economic development, actually that some some delegate will come here to speak for the item.

35:25So I will let you know if there are any delegates or any items in the future. So and how ACOC how adversary counties make make decisions, we need to pass resolutions.

35:38Okay. All the decisions based on resolutions, you need to have a resolution. Go on it. Okay. You need to move one member to move the motions.

35:52The other members second emotions, and then we need to work on that 50% plus one agree that the motions, the resolutions will be passed.

36:03Okay. This is how we work on this ACOC. Okay. So I will explain a little bit more later. So, you know, if you want to provide, you know, the feedback in in in the meetings, and those kind of resolutions will be passed.

36:21And then the minutes will be communicated in full to the city council. That means that how what exactly you passed will be written in the minutes and the minutes will be passed to the city council every single Friday.

36:35They will receive information item. They will know what you guys discuss, what you got passed, what you got want to tell them.

36:43Okay. So this is the whole mechanism of ACOC. So for the meeting agenda, just like the one that I sent to you guys, one, we would like to do is a one week before the meeting, you will receive the agenda.

36:58Okay. The agenda will include, of course, the links, the place of meeting, and all all the items listed, or the attachment report presentation, staff recommendations, all of them will be appeared there.

37:12And you will know what exactly we'll be doing in the meetings.

37:16Okay. So for the minutes after the meeting, after the meeting, we will have minutes and minutes also publicly follow all the meetings will be publicly post on the website that the calendar are just to read.

37:30So you can see the agenda, you can see the minutes of each meetings. So this is the so called legislative requirement of ACOC meeting. So any questions?

37:47The meetings minutes can be approved before they're posted.

37:52We, we just posted this minutes first, and then the next meeting, you need to approve the minutes.

38:00Okay, we just posted minutes first, and then the next meeting we will vote on agree. Do you want to approve the minutes? Yes. So you guys will be the one approved minutes.

38:11Okay, not staff.

38:13Okay.

38:14Yes, Norris.

38:17The minutes. Yeah. Are they just summarizing the resolutions? Or are they going into further detail?

38:25Actually, that we will just post the resolutions. If you guys want any specific feedback, we can just put there. We can include all the stuff is really dependent on the guys.

38:37So most of the ACOC, they will just put the resolution there because those are things would be passed to the city council.

38:46Okay, this is our practice. But of course, you want to provide some very detailed feedback point by point. You said, I will like to include this totally fine, totally acceptable.

38:57With agreement.

38:59Yeah. Okay. So finally, for each item, you need to vote on that, right? So if you guys say yes, okay, then we'll be.

39:09Okay, I move on.

39:14I promise I will be very grateful.

39:17Okay, so to see, okay, what is a meeting? Okay, so we need to meet Corum for meeting. Okay, for this committee, because we have 11 members.

39:27Our rules is 50% plus one. So should be seven. So we need to have seven members to participate at 10 meeting to make sure the meeting will will not be adjourned.

39:42Okay, we need to continue. So and and this is which we change this rule, because in the past, we just like, for example, like we need to have 15 members for ACOC.

39:54So that we, we, we will ignore the how many members actually existing. So this is very hard to get the column, because if you have 15 members, that means that you need to get the column, we will like eight right.

40:08It's very hard for them to get the column actually. So in the past, you know, I would say the ACOC always just cancel the meeting just cancel just because we do not have column.

40:20So I think just in experience a lot for the planning committee is actually we experienced a lot.

40:27Quite honest, that is not, it's not very good because, yeah, because we spend time on everything and that, yeah, so we hope that we can improve this kind of so word calculation of Corum will be improving the whole situation.

40:42So and if a meeting without any public notice that means that we need didn't go to do a very good job post agenda and we could not have the meeting.

40:55Okay, because the public need to need to know about the meeting. What exactly the content or exactly the agenda items we need to know we need to let them know.

41:02So, because I think they may they may want to attend right they may want to speak for that. So this is a bet this is why ACOC is a very, I would say, least a lot of resources and because it's legislate.

41:19Okay. So, the only way that ACOC provide formal feedback is through passing resolutions.

41:27So the resolution is very important. Okay, we need to get one man to move the resolution one man a second the resolutions and then vote on that.

41:39So 50% plus one would be recorded my majority. And this is to improve the resolutions.

41:46If we do not get this that means that we couldn't get this kind of resolution.

41:50So and the resolutions will be the main thing to communicate to the city council. If you want to pass any feedback or like the very specific comments, I can just include it in the minutes.

42:05And if you want that I can just pass to the city council because that they will receive automatically receive some information items from from us.

42:13So so this is the mechanism of passing resolution.

42:16So any any questions because it's very important.

42:20I had a question about. So is the idea that if we don't have quorum meeting then the meeting gets cancelled.

42:28Yes, yes.

42:30Yeah, we need to wait for 50 minutes. If we can get a quorum that we need to cancel the meeting. We couldn't we couldn't carry on meeting.

42:38So this is why it's very important to get members here and is is quite sad, you know, when they wait for you know planning we experience too much.

42:50We just wait for 50 minutes and then just one or two members appear. So so this we want to avoid.

42:57So people don't tell you ahead of time if they can't make a meeting.

43:01They would tell me yes, but not really so.

43:06Yeah, they were supposed to. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you if you are able to do this, you just click yes.

43:15When I send you the meeting invite. Okay.

43:17You just let me know if you cannot participate just let me know because I I I do want a quorum track before the meeting.

43:25And if I find that it's not possible to get the quorum, I would just say maybe we should cancel and post more things to the next meeting.

43:35Okay, so I just move forward first. Okay, so how is it feedback for me to communicate to staff and city council.

43:46So your feedback and common actually you provide advice directly to the staff and also flu stuff to city council.

43:55For example, maybe Cam would like to get your ideas on particular policy or program.

44:03He would just come here to ask you what do you feel or do you have any extra comments like feedback on that and he would add that right.

44:12So if something that we would like to come subject you that actually that we've been passed to the city council that through stuff we will prepare the report.

44:21The stock report with recommendations or the details, maybe some research, maybe some kind of like a background information and you will receive this kind of information one week before the meeting.

44:35So we hope that you can just read this and also prepare some comments or some feedback on that.

44:40So this is the mechanism of providing so for the feedback or the comments to the city council and also to stop.

44:47So this is all duplicated. I'm just reading this. I think it's fine.

44:55So this is a general thing that through resolutions, pass your resolutions to staff and also to the city council.

45:02Are resolutions the same as recommendations?

45:06Resolution is something you need to vote on that.

45:09Okay. Yeah, 50% plus one.

45:12Okay. If you decide having something not voting, not reporting and voting, this is not measure motions.

45:19So many in the committee want to recommend something to council. They can pass resolution at that recommendation before it to council. Is that correct?

45:28Yes.

45:30Yes, exactly.

45:32Yeah. So, code of conduct, you know, actually in the email I sent in the email, I think because I sent too much email, I'm sorry.

45:46I sent an email to let you know that you are important, right? So in that email, there's a lot of links, sorry, to information.

45:54And one of that is the code of conduct. So code of conduct is something like, you know, applying to the ACOC members, our advisory committees members, and you know, covering like behavior, like some kind of thing relating to online social media things, you know, but, you know, most of the sections actually just apply to members of the city council.

46:16That means the council. So what exactly that will be more relevant to you?

46:22For example, like given banners first, companies that have naturalities and conduct influence on stuff, improper use of influence, and the last one, conflict of interest.

46:31This is I just mentioned at the very beginning of this, in this section. It's like, if you find that you may have some conflict of interest, for example, like, if you talk about,

46:42um, collect took a college, some parts, something happening there. And you may need to be excused from the meeting, right? Because you will be part of it, you know, some kind of information or some kind of influence on that.

46:57So, and, you know, at this moment, you, if you read the agenda, and you can just fill out the form that I just showed you guys before. And then if you really don't know, I really don't know.

47:11I really don't know. Is it like a conflict of interest or what? And you just let me know. I will just talk to you or like email you, explain to you.

47:18So, this is the mode. I think this is most relevant or most frequent things that we need to think about about the cookoff contact for the ACLC members.

47:28Okay, this part, I will leave it to the next meeting because I am lost, not very familiar that I will not talk about something like not, I don't think I'm 100% sure.

47:40So I will leave it to Garrett, like meeting, he will explain this.

47:43Okay, terms of reference, this is a document that I just showed you. It's a very long one, the backbone of the ACLC, in more of a mandate, in more of some composition, meeting schedule, informant, and also actually that for the upcoming ACLC or for existing ACLC, we do have some kind of thing we need to do together.

48:03For example, the evaluation, we need to develop a kind of self evaluation, I would say survey or like some kind of questions together. And also we need to review the TOR, the terms of reference together later.

48:18So this will be upcoming and I will actually know if there are times come to do the evaluation together.

48:26So, a row of staff, we have four staff here, and they are having very specific role in the city. So they advise on very high level decision making, they know very high level decision making, they have very deep knowledge regarding their exact topics and also policy areas.

48:50We hope that staff is on actually that they, because they are very special, very special, especially as I would say. Actually, there's a kind of very good meetings of like adversary committees for the members to learn about technical terms, some kind of knowledge and also skills, what's happening in the city.

49:10And also is like some maybe some consensus building and also what exactly that we would like to get more feedback and also comments from the existing members. So staff is on will have a very high level decision making roles in this committee.

49:26So if any very specific topics you can just email directly to the staff is okay so for example, can we be.

49:36And what would be.

49:38Emigrate is.

49:40Waste exactly.

49:42So, so many information in my brain comes up.

49:46Right.

49:47And climate change and environment.

49:50I'm wrong.

49:51And energy and energy.

49:53Well, if it's okay.

49:55Lucas.

49:56Landing.

49:57Okay.

49:58Wing.

49:59Of course.

50:00Waste swimming.

50:01Water.

50:02Water.

50:03I'm sorry.

50:04I'm sorry.

50:05Water protection.

50:06Yeah.

50:07Yeah.

50:08Yeah.

50:09Yeah.

50:10I'm so sorry.

50:11Too many information in our brain.

50:13I'm so sorry.

50:14So if you have any very specific topics you want to discuss or like to learn more about this, you can just email directly to during staff is okay for the procedures, meetings, administrative things, email me.

50:29Okay.

50:30So, I just want to make sure that I, I just delivered a message about my role. Okay. So, and also get actually so we coordinate the meetings, communication, finalizing or the daytime locations.

50:45And also anti-secretary support, technical support, preparation of all the, all the agenda, minutes, even now facilitating some kind of meetings with the city council, communication with the city council.

51:00So this is all that we call procedures and also secretariat support from the class office.

51:09Your role. Okay. So we hope that the ASOS members will be prepared to attend, participate, contribute your skills, knowledge, experience relating to the mandate.

51:20And this is the most important thing I think the second form is be curious, flexible in discussion. Just talk about what you want to talk about.

51:31And I really want to encourage diverse will plan some kind of your feedback and comments. And also the last one is attend the mandatory training.

51:42I'm sorry. Today is one of it. Okay. But you know, upcoming there will be some of the mandatory training that will be provided to the ASOS members and also we will provide some optional one you can join.

51:54Again, you can, you can just leave it. Okay. I don't want to join this one. The mandatory training that we will just make sure that everyone of you will attend. So because this is very important.

52:06So meeting procedures.

52:10We all need to align with the procedural by law and also all the meeting procedures documents for a sales.

52:20So we, we will do like, move a motion, second motion, debate discussion and discussion together. And also we will vote on that. So this is a must procedures we need to we need to we need to do in the ASOC.

52:41So if anything upcoming like procedural things, I will, I will just maybe I will just interrupt a little bit and say, Hey, we may need to do this step first, and then this step and then this step.

52:56Okay, so just forgive me if I interrupt a little bit. But we just want to make sure that we meet the meeting procedures by law requirement.

53:05Okay, how to write resolutions.

53:10Resolution is something very important because we passed this to the city council, right? So this is this are very good resolution example.

53:18For some, for some like that, this strategy includes attachment to this report dated when be approved by you guys, you vote on this. Okay.

53:30And some feedback provided by committees regarding what kind of strategy include in the attachment to the report dated when consider by staff for inclusion in the final report.

53:43So the feedback will be listed if you wanted to.

53:46But for example, like some of the companies like they really want some points that to be to be clearly, you know, articulate and also written down in the minutes that we can do this.

53:58So this is we call good resolution they found. So there's some bad. Okay.

54:03So, yeah, report to be endorsed. That's it. And feedback provided be considered by stop stop.

54:11So the point is like, of course, we we we would encourage that to feedback will be included. Right.

54:19But of course, this is not a very good back solution because this is something like left nothing there. Okay, we need something very concrete.

54:27Of course, when we write the resolutions, Garrett or me will be here to help drop the resolutions.

54:34Okay, so no worries about that. You need to think about the resolutions. No, we will we've advised and also just suggest something regarding how to draft the resolutions.

54:43So no worries about that. Okay.

54:47Agenda.

54:48That was really. Yep. Sure.

54:49What the resolutions as a stop is on.

54:54Do we make recommendations the associate we're looking for a resolution.

54:59Yes, if we always wanted to start here as long just like including your recommendations, of course, in the stock report, maybe, or or some other thing else, I read a little bit.

55:11You make the recommendations and next to both of them.

55:16You can do this. Yes, they can come from both ends. So that's so safe. I'm coming with the report. Yeah, that will happen.

55:24And I'm looking for feedback, but also in terms of endorsement from the ACSC, I would prefer a recommendation to ACSC to make a resolution on this. Yes.

55:36And then alternatively, the ACSC might say if I don't come with recommendation, the ACSC says, Hey, you know, this isn't half bad. We want to endorse this. The ACSC can also come up with resolution.

55:49Yes, exactly. So, you know, for some of you, most of the time, of course, we provide recommendations to the ACSC, right? And they can vote on this like we endorse or not endorse.

56:01Okay. And they could just drop an artist or other resolutions to be passed by them. And this is kind of resolutions. So both of them.

56:13Yeah, existing actually. Yeah. So I go back to our gender. Okay. So the agenda will be developed by staff. That means we collaborate together, start the ASO and also clap office together.

56:25And the agenda will be reviewed and approved by the chair. So, only one week prior to the meeting, the agenda will be posted.

56:35So the chair will have the final decision making on the agenda. Stop, we propose together, we collaborate together and we stop, we propose and the chair will say yes, or they can just change it like Morty Valid.

56:53Okay. So members can request items will be added to the future agendas. That means that you can propose some agenda items. Okay. You can just let us know. It's like we want to propose something and just let me know what exactly is that.

57:08And we will collaborate with our to the staff together and finalize that kind of like agenda. Maybe we couldn't do it in the next meeting because we have a lot of agenda items, but actually that we can do this maybe in the next next meeting.

57:24Okay. So we will naturally know why we make this decision on the agenda and why your your your item will be like two weeks, two months later will be discussing their agenda. So you can propose items. So

57:39stop will provide information through like, sorry, presentations, reports, long-lead report plus presentation. You will receive a lot of staff report very long one. I read a lot. But yeah, but this very detailed one hope that you can read this and also read the recommendation so that we can discuss in the meeting.

58:03So and also is like verbal update. Yeah, we would provide some verbal updates, for example, like we concept you on some some policy or program before. And then maybe half years later, we got some kind of updates.

58:21We will provide some verbal updates in the announcement section. That will be the last one will be the chair announcement and staff allowance.

58:28We will just provide you some updates on that. So this is general process of how to make the general. So yes, the last line. Okay. Yeah, always here to help. I may not respond within one hour. Try to do this. Okay.

58:51But you know, I just anything you just email adversary comment is at growth.ca. We are legislative service team. We hope that we can answer all of your questions. If not, we will just get the answer for you. Okay.

59:06Okay, so I finished. Okay, I'm sorry. So I hope it's good. It's good. Okay, so any any questions that I can count or answer you.

59:17I don't think I'll back one slide. Oh, sorry. Last item. Last item. Yeah.

59:24verbal updates. Oh, we're going to see back. I said to myself, well, every task here to be inquisitive.

59:32You know, diverse for not so I just I would be hard pressed. If in fact you gave me some verbal update, and I couldn't give you feedback or comment. I just as I noted, oh yeah, you know, I don't require.

59:49Yeah, yeah, yeah, we yeah, I just, I just stuck. No. Yeah. Okay. So I will. Okay. Let me elaborate a little bit actually where will updates will be something like we already get we already got your feedback and comments before we already done that.

1:00:08We already done all the process and then maybe the stuff already, you know, finished or stuff, and then we have a final report or like the council maybe approve something. Then we give you the word. Well, so before that we already like discuss with you have to discussion here.

1:00:24I'd like to suggest that your verbal updates, not be that limited.

1:00:28Yep.

1:00:29Yep.

1:00:33Something along the lines in a positive. I'm very new to this.

1:00:38Yes, I'm sorry.

1:00:40For Starley is on there too. So we can take a little bit.

1:00:44Yeah.

1:00:46And I'm just, yeah, my mind is going. I'm just like, how can I use you guys?

1:00:53No, I honestly want to see how, how, you know, your feedback is really fun.

1:01:01So there's a lot of, at least the way that I see things, a lot of iteration in the way that we do our work and how we present things to council, eventually.

1:01:14And through that iteration, I anticipate that if I am to present something to you folks that they will be in various forms, draft, whatnot, presented context, all of those things and may not be ready for publish on the agenda.

1:01:38So how does that work? So my question is, do I have to have it like here you go, here's polished product on the agenda and that's the only thing that can get resolution or can it be that, hey, I'm thinking this guys, let me present it to you folks on the day of the event of the meeting, seeking feedback.

1:01:59It gets minute results or something.

1:02:02And then I can take that as part of that iteration.

1:02:05Definitely you can do that.

1:02:07And then it's something like, we made decision here. We make decision here. And if you want to get some feedback from folks, right? We can just like, we have some ideas here, and maybe I would like to get your feedback and also comments.

1:02:22That's it. Okay. We can just say, just some kind of like the platform is not exactly resolutions. We do not need to wrote on that, actually.

1:02:32With that principle established, I withdraw my comment.

1:02:38I'm just going to add, as an example, in terms of a difference between an announcement versus like an item on the agenda is, for example, maybe staff are working on a project we presented to you in October.

1:02:51But then in early November or late October, we also have just general public engagement that you can attend as not number of the ACOC.

1:03:02So we just share that as part of the, as part of the verbal update. So October, October 30th, we're having this event.

1:03:11You guys are more than welcome to come. It's for the public. We presented on this topic to you in early October. But if you're interested, you can, you can come out and attend as a member.

1:03:20That's, that's typically what like the announcements kind of formulate as opposed to an item on the agenda where if we wanted, okay, we got some feedback back at that public engagement event in late October.

1:03:32Maybe we want to, we want to bring it back to you guys in December as, as another item, as an, as like a formal item on the agenda as an update.

1:03:42And then we discussed it again and have specific time allocated for that and opportunities to pass resolutions as well.

1:03:49My guess is to your point or question. I mean, I think that as committee members, we probably would prefer to be given an opportunity to provide input early on in the process, rather than getting a sense of the committee that this is a done deal

1:04:06completed project. Here's my recommendation. I want to take the council. Yes or no. Give us an opportunity with the expertise that's in this room here to be able to provide some constructive input.

1:04:18And then as you point out, maybe three months later, report comes back with, and you've thought about the input that we provided, you brought in some other information and now you're closer to the final product or maybe the final product, which then we could see and then vote on.

1:04:32So with a formal recommendation for approval.

1:04:37I can promise that all of this.

1:04:45But at the end of it, like I do seek feedback, like I'm very, I'm looking forward to it and getting what we can.

1:04:53Do the verbal updates also cancel decisions?

1:04:59Yeah, sometimes yes. Okay, maybe that for some of the project we consult in this committee, right? And maybe the city council ready to approve something like check something like that. We will just update you.

1:05:13Yes.

1:05:15Is today's slide available to us? Yes.

1:05:18Was it in the meeting?

1:05:20The link I sent you including the agenda and also. Thank you. Also the attachment. So yeah.

1:05:26Okay.

1:05:28So, one new question. Sorry.

1:05:31So in advance of the meeting, how much in advance of the meeting will you be sending the agenda and whatever the agenda is?

1:05:43What are the separate documents you expect us to go through?

1:05:46I would not promise, but you know, I'm just the only one doing this. I would like to say it's like one week.

1:05:55Okay, for example, like actually, I would say it's like last Wednesday, you'll be sent to my event.

1:06:02Yeah, we will try to do this approximately one week.

1:06:06It will always be coming from you.

1:06:07But it's actually come to us at growth.ca. Okay, perfect. I know in past committees we sometimes from the staff liaison or the clerk's office.

1:06:16We want to standardize this or the information sent out from advance.com.

1:06:20This.

1:06:22Because I maybe I'm off and there's someone to take care of us if they cannot have any winning.

1:06:29Right.

1:06:31So yes.

1:06:33Okay.

1:06:34So should be let me go back to the agenda.

1:06:42Okay, so the first item election of chair and moisture.

1:06:49So I would like to invite you maybe to nominate someone or self-nominate yourself.

1:06:57We need to elect our chair and moisture today.

1:07:01You guys, let us just put it on the floor.

1:07:06What a chair. How much just additional in addition to say committee members, just how much is the time expectation that you expect in for both the rules and on time.

1:07:19I would briefly explain that I would like to invite Mike with your chair before your experience is very valuable.

1:07:29So I would like to introduce just a very brief one.

1:07:32So the chair has the discretion to make the decision for the agenda.

1:07:39Okay, you need to we do with the safe agenda from staff, only me and then you will design all this is a good.

1:07:46Okay, good.

1:07:47Approved it.

1:07:48And then we will just post the gender.

1:07:49This is the first thing.

1:07:50And the second thing is like, you need to chair the meeting.

1:07:54Just like what I am doing now.

1:07:56Okay, you will gather.

1:07:58I would say script.

1:07:59Okay, what we are doing is like, you will call the meeting to the land and knowledge.

1:08:04And then we will have the management, asking about the interest and order item will be like, do manage meeting, I would say, but of course, like, just like me or Garrett, we will be the one taking care of all the procedural things.

1:08:18And you just keep the meetings in a very good flow.

1:08:22Maybe some time management and or some kind of like, getting some kind of ideas.

1:08:28And then we will have a discussion here, right?

1:08:30So, you may finalize some of the points and also something you want.

1:08:37You may think that the members want to include in the in the minutes, something like that.

1:08:41So, you also lead to ask the people to vote to move to second and also vote for the items.

1:08:49So, yeah, I'm missing some.

1:08:52I think you nailed it pretty much.

1:08:53Yeah, I guess the only other thing I would add is just and given the size of this committee and the expertise around the table.

1:08:59Yeah, is trying to draw on that's because my experience in the past, but some committee members, you know, they're very committed and passionate about the work, but don't always speak out in the meeting.

1:09:11And so I think it's important to get people to, you know, take a take a minute to, to provide some inputs.

1:09:17They may not have any input.

1:09:18That's fine.

1:09:19But make sure that everybody has given been given a full opportunity to engage in the conversation.

1:09:25Yes.

1:09:26And then I think you mentioned time management.

1:09:27I think that's another aspect of that because some people can dominate the conversation too, which we don't want to have.

1:09:34So it's a bit of time personal management, but making sure that it's a very open conversation.

1:09:45Thank you.

1:09:46What's the difference between the vice chair?

1:09:49Yes.

1:09:50If chair is not available in the meeting, vice chair need to be the chair to cover their room.

1:10:00I would say and especially because maybe sometimes the chair have some kind of conflict of interest in the intermediate school meeting and go out.

1:10:08Right.

1:10:09So the vice chair will be here to cover the role of that.

1:10:13And after the items to chair come back and vice chair will become the vice chair again.

1:10:17You clarify who takes the minutes.

1:10:21The clock will tick them in this.

1:10:23I mean, get rid of them.

1:10:25Yep.

1:10:26And how long does the chair and vice chair sit in their roles?

1:10:30It's the same as your term.

1:10:35Yeah.

1:10:36I don't, I remember it's like November 2026.

1:10:41Yes.

1:10:42One and a half month, one and a half years outside.

1:10:44Yeah.

1:10:45Because.

1:10:46Yeah, exactly.

1:10:47Because of the council election.

1:10:49Yeah.

1:10:51Okay.

1:10:52So it's time to.

1:10:55Longly.

1:10:57What's that?

1:10:58Longly.

1:11:00You want to experience.

1:11:06Well, I haven't done this before.

1:11:08Right.

1:11:09I was the chair of the national advisory advisory committee.

1:11:11And now this is a combination of four different committees.

1:11:15So.

1:11:16But I'm going to give it a shot.

1:11:19We'll have confidence in the.

1:11:26No, I will let the call the votes.

1:11:28Okay.

1:11:30That might will become the chair of.

1:11:34Planning environment board advisory committees.

1:11:39As long as the term last order.

1:11:42So I would like to call the boat.

1:11:44Anyone against this.

1:11:48Anyone support this? Okay.

1:11:55Okay, so Mike, you're a knowledge here.

1:12:01Wait, wait, wait.

1:12:03Okay, so Mike, you're a knowledge here.

1:12:08And please call the vote for the vice chair and also ask for the nomination.

1:12:13Yes.

1:12:14Okay, so do you have any nominations for vice chair committee?

1:12:19Yes.

1:12:22Yes, I would like to sub nominate myself.

1:12:25Okay.

1:12:26And there's another hand over here.

1:12:29Yeah, I guess if there's two people then we have to vote.

1:12:33We need to experience that, right?

1:12:35We're not going to watch a campaign first.

1:12:39Yeah.

1:12:44Any other nominations for vice chair? Okay.

1:12:51And I guess since you're self nominated, you accept the nomination, obviously.

1:12:56So I guess we need to have an election.

1:12:59Yes.

1:13:00Okay.

1:13:01So I'm sorry.

1:13:03I don't know names.

1:13:04And we have two.

1:13:06I know we need to have one.

1:13:08Yeah.

1:13:09So anybody want to speak to the nomination before we have election?

1:13:16I mean, I think that I have good knowledge of all the different topics to some degree,

1:13:22probably less on the natural heritage side, but the planning, the climate change and the waste side and the water side.

1:13:29So it kind of helps me understand what might be important to talk about and how to guide the discussion.

1:13:36So maybe that's one thing that, and I'm used to cheering a lot of meetings for my role as a senior project manager.

1:13:42So it's, yeah, it just comes with the territory, but I want to give others opportunities to.

1:13:50Thanks.

1:13:51So Roger was saying, and I am part of committees of both within Conestoga and advancing sustainability, net zero admissions.

1:14:02And I see a lot of alignment with, with a lot of that this committee is trying to achieve.

1:14:07Again, I think the area that I'm missing a little bit is natural history.

1:14:12Now, that is not about my portfolio, but I'm just understanding that having been a resident of well for, for a limited amount of time, I do try as much to understand what the city is will be unique.

1:14:26I'll say aspects of the city are, and I find it really fascinating to continue building my knowledge in that area.

1:14:32But I want to continue committing to specific areas around the net zero admission of the city.

1:14:39So advancing climate mitigation, which is I think better than climate adaptation as a strategy and a strategic approach for the city.

1:14:49So I really hope to make concrete suggestions to the committee in those areas.

1:14:56Energy management, water conservation automatically are part of my portfolio as well.

1:15:02So I'm really interested in those areas as well.

1:15:04Thank you very much.

1:15:05I think we need to have a secret ballot.

1:15:08Maybe just two members on it.

1:15:11Okay, that's the other way of doing it.

1:15:13Yeah, great idea.

1:15:14Yeah, so just go to the washroom.

1:15:18Yeah, so.

1:15:20All right.

1:15:22So we're ready to take a tally.

1:15:24Yeah.

1:15:27I imagine it's not common.

1:15:31Thank you.

1:15:33I just did one way to get offended by my goal.

1:15:36Yeah.

1:15:38Yeah, so.

1:15:41All right, so we're ready to take a tally.

1:15:44Yeah.

1:15:45Certainly as the Karen.

1:15:49Can you remind me of the two full names?

1:15:52That's called game and me.

1:15:55Roger.

1:15:57Yeah, yeah.

1:15:59Sing and Laura.

1:16:02Sing and Laura.

1:16:03Yeah.

1:16:04She is Laura and Roger.

1:16:06Yeah.

1:16:07I think she went by sing.

1:16:08Yeah, yeah, yeah.

1:16:10You're right.

1:16:17We can.

1:16:18First of all, come back to you.

1:16:20People are still thinking about it.

1:16:22All right.

1:16:24I don't feel like there's much to go on.

1:16:27It was very sure you can't even tease people.

1:16:30Oh, I, I guess Laura.

1:16:34Yeah.

1:16:40Yeah.

1:16:42I lost my over saying.

1:16:44Oh, there.

1:16:46It's very, very difficult.

1:16:48Yep.

1:16:50Because the bandages disadvantages and unknown.

1:16:53I'm going to sing.

1:16:55I figured out.

1:16:57She spoke up first.

1:16:59I'm going to go with her.

1:17:01Okay.

1:17:03So.

1:17:05Yeah.

1:17:07And on the screen too.

1:17:09Yeah.

1:17:10We do.

1:17:11Yeah.

1:17:12I colleague here.

1:17:14And.

1:17:16And okay.

1:17:17I'm going to sing.

1:17:18I'm going to sing.

1:17:19I'm going to sing.

1:17:20I'm going to sing.

1:17:21I'm going to sing.

1:17:23I'm going to sing,

1:17:24I'm going to sing.

1:17:26I'm going to sing.

1:17:28And the car.

1:17:30Anissa.

1:17:31Sorry.

1:17:34Sorry.

1:17:35Thank you.

1:17:36Sorry.

1:17:38I couldn't really hear the names.

1:17:42Do you mind repeating them?

1:17:43Sorry.

1:17:44There's like a bit of an echo sometimes when everybody's

1:17:46speaking.

1:17:49Other names.

1:17:51Whoever spoke first. I'll be all of them.

1:17:55Yeah.

1:17:56I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

1:17:57I'm sorry.

1:17:58We need to be together today.

1:17:59Perfect.

1:18:00I'm sorry.

1:18:01I'm sorry.

1:18:02The one on the circle.

1:18:03Yeah.

1:18:04You just take it, yeah.

1:18:05Yeah.

1:18:06All right.

1:18:07Okay.

1:18:08We asked them to come back.

1:18:09Yeah, so...

1:18:10Who are they?

1:18:11All other meetings are in this awkward state.

1:18:17I'm sorry.

1:18:18Hey, do we have speaker votes?

1:18:19I'm sorry.

1:18:20You're voted on!

1:18:21Yeah, I think so.

1:18:22Go ahead.

1:18:23Yeah.

1:18:24I think the vote was carried by Singh.

1:18:46Yeah, so Singh is our vice chair and Laura, thank you very much for putting your name

1:18:51on the table.

1:18:56Okay, we'll move to the next item because Robert wants to shift the meeting from Wednesday

1:19:02to Thursday.

1:19:03Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.

1:19:04I'm not available on Wednesdays, on September.

1:19:13Okay.

1:19:14I would have to resign at the next meeting today, should not change.

1:19:19Okay, so we need to vote on that because we changed the meeting date.

1:19:24So would you mind just, yeah.

1:19:26Yeah, well let's go around the room first, I guess.

1:19:29Does anyone have any definitive preferences for the day of the week or the evening of

1:19:36the week that we meet?

1:19:39I can do Monday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

1:19:44I just can't do Tuesday.

1:19:46And on Tuesday.

1:19:49Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

1:19:51Okay.

1:19:52And we'll find all evenings for me after six is fine, so I'm going to do Monday, except

1:20:05Monday.

1:20:06I prefer not Monday.

1:20:07A little stronger than you prefer.

1:20:10I guess once a month, that's it.

1:20:14It's once a month.

1:20:16Yeah.

1:20:17Yeah, assuming we're going to disavow all the stats that fall on Mondays.

1:20:22It's meeting towards Monday or Tuesday, but not really Monday.

1:20:26I think Tuesday was already ruled out.

1:20:30The old 80s.

1:20:31Oh, it was great.

1:20:32Karen, sorry.

1:20:33And on Tuesday.

1:20:34I'm in the same mode as you, but instead of Wednesdays on Tuesdays, I have a commitment

1:20:38coming September.

1:20:39Okay.

1:20:40So Thursday?

1:20:41Post-Digerts.

1:20:42I'm not a post-Digerts.

1:20:43I'm another post-Digerts.

1:20:45Is there any months I could do Monday work?

1:20:49So it looks like we're meeting towards Monday.

1:20:53Is everybody good with Monday?

1:20:55Everyone good?

1:20:576 p.m.

1:20:58Okay.

1:20:59I think the 6 p.m. is...

1:21:00So anybody want to move Monday?

1:21:02I move Monday.

1:21:03Second, second, here?

1:21:06All in favor.

1:21:09Yeah, thank you.

1:21:10You already know how to do it.

1:21:13It's my example.

1:21:14Yeah.

1:21:15But it was the same one, the bus one.

1:21:17The bus, yes.

1:21:18Yeah.

1:21:19So, um, yeah.

1:21:23Okay.

1:21:24So, um, why can we adjourn meeting maybe?

1:21:27Sure.

1:21:28Yeah, sure.

1:21:29I move the way adjourned.

1:21:30Wait, wait.

1:21:31Sorry, can I just make a quick on the fly update?

1:21:35Not a cursey.

1:21:36I will not be here July and August.

1:21:38I just want to let the team know that I'll be back in September.

1:21:42One of those months we don't have a meeting.

1:21:45No one would be.

1:21:47Yeah.

1:21:48Which Monday?

1:21:50Oh, we didn't have Monday.

1:21:52The second Monday or like the second Wednesday we are now?

1:21:55Yeah.

1:21:56Even the same week.

1:21:58We'd be the same week.

1:22:00Yeah.

1:22:01The second.

1:22:02Second Monday.

1:22:03Sure.

1:22:04Monday.

1:22:05Okay.

1:22:06That's the second Monday.

1:22:07Okay.

1:22:08That would be the seventh.

1:22:10With that.

1:22:11Yep.

1:22:12Is it the same week or second Monday?

1:22:15Actually that is the first Monday of the month.

1:22:17Actually the same week as the night.

1:22:19Second Monday.

1:22:20So.

1:22:21We'll be 14.

1:22:22Actually.

1:22:23Second Monday.

1:22:24Monday.

1:22:25Monday.

1:22:26We'll be 14 off July.

1:22:27The second Wednesday.

1:22:28So, second Monday.

1:22:29Yep.

1:22:30Okay.

1:22:31And, uh, Adam vice chair.

1:22:33So, you know, I'm away on the four cheeks.

1:22:36I'll open my eyes.

1:22:38I'm not a good person.

1:22:40No.

1:22:41I'm not a good person.

1:22:42I'm not a good person.

1:22:43No.

1:22:44No worries.

1:22:45No worries.

1:22:46No worries.

1:22:47No worries.

1:22:48No worries.

1:22:49No worries.

1:22:50You can join us.

1:22:51Can I join?

1:22:52Yes.

1:22:53I'll, I'll be in a different part of the world.

1:22:55I'll make sure that I join.

1:22:57Let's, let's the chair.

1:22:59I, I might actually be able to do that too.

1:23:01But I know that I think of it.

1:23:02I'm just, I'm going to be at a cottage and can garden.

1:23:05a little chat to make sure that we've got it. I know about all the other, I'll say months,

1:23:11but I'm just not sure about July. That's a little short. But I'll try my best. Well, I will as well.

1:23:18We'll work it out.

1:23:19He likes to.

1:23:23So I didn't go that far. But

1:23:30so our next meeting is July 14th until you hear otherwise. And the motion is adjourned.

1:23:37As please.

1:23:41Second, that's a problem.

1:23:52See you in July. Thanks, everybody.

1:23:54Take care everyone.

1:23:55Thank you so much.

1:23:56Thank you so much.

1:23:56Thanks folks.

1:23:57See you later.

1:23:57Thank you.

1:23:58Thank you.

1:23:58Thank you.

1:24:00Let's have a meeting before we go.

1:24:02Thank you.

1:24:03Well, there was a meeting in person.

1:24:06I said, yeah, actually.

1:24:11And again, I'm just saying a little.
